Roles & Responsibilities:
Analyzes, evaluates and tracks employees requesting ADA from submission through case closeout Receives and processes all ADA requests for review in accordance with SOP Review ADA requests for completeness prior to forwarding for medical necessity determination Communicates with treating provider(s) regarding requests for medical information Communicates with requesting employees as necessary Works under the direction of and in assistance to the licensed clinical evaluator Maintains accurate case tracking and diary system to ensure adherence to applicable deadlines. Maintains efficient ADA filing system of all cases Acts as a primary point of contact for internal and external customers regarding policy and procedures Stays abreast of, understands and disseminates industry standards, regulations, guidelines and developments Participate in interactive process committee meetings as requested Other duties as assignedEducation, Experience and Qualifications:
High School Diploma required College Degree strongly desired Prior experience with ADA laws, rights, regulations and guidelines preferred Experience communicating directly with patients, providers and office staff required Experience handling confidential health information requiredKnowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of medical terminology-strongly preferred Proficient use of computers and software- specifically Microsoft Office Suite required Strong interpersonal communication skills
