Job Description
River Hospital is seeking a full-time Patient Access Clerk for our main hospital registration and emergency department working three 12-hour shifts weekly. Starting Rate is $18.35, annually pay increases up to $21 hourly with more than 20 years of experience. Job Purpose Responsibilities of this job include inpatient and outpatient registration for all inpatient and ancillary departments. Responsible for switchboard operations, petty cash, mail distribution. Responsible for the organization and management of the Admissions office, its records, files and necessary systems. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Experience in a related position is preferred PC and keyboard skills required Accurate clerical skills Good organizational skills Excellent communication/interpersonal skills necessary It is the employee's responsibility to know the requirements for certification, limited permit and licensure for their individual profession. It is also the responsibility of the employee to notify the employer of the status of any certification or licensure issue or potential issue. The employee will comply with all of the requirements outlined by the New York State Office of professions for the particular profession.
