Shift:
7a-7p; Rotating Weekends, Rotating Holidays For nearly two centuries, the MetroHealth System's mission has been focused on delivering high-quality patient-centered care to all communities in Northeast Ohio. Today, our Behavioral Health Center will change how mental health services are delivered in Cleveland. Our new facility is located in Cleveland Heights and is intentionally designed to meet the needs of patients. Join our Behavioral Health General Adult Psych Unit!
Primary Patient Population:
Adult and Gero Psych Primary skills utilized/learned: Therapeutic Listening Verbal De-escalation Crisis Management Relationship Building Milieu Management Group Programming Facilitation Personnel RN will work with : LPNs, Registered Nurses, Providers, Psychologists, Behavioral Health Specialists (BHS), Social Workers Number of beds on unit: 20 beds MetroHealth offers industry-leading benefits, including tuition reimbursement, professional certification incentives, and medical/dental insurance. Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. Ability to work in a team environment while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and effectively problem-solving skills. Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Registered in good standing as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Nurse Aide Registry (
NOTE:
Maintaining ODH Registry status as a STNA is optional after employment in this position). 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in a hospital.
