Why This Role Stands Out Consistent Monday-Friday schedule (1:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.) Evenings only with predictable hours No rotating shifts Work alongside surgeons, nurses, anesthesia teams, and perioperative leaders Gain valuable experience in a specialized surgical setting Opportunities for growth within PeaceHealth Full-time benefits eligible position What You'll Do In this role, you'll serve as a key resource for both patients and the surgical team by: Providing care within the Certified Nursing Assistant scope of practice Supporting patient admissions, transfers, and discharges Monitoring patient status and communicating changes to the care team Serving as an advocate for patients and families while maintaining confidentiality Coordinating communication between caregivers, departments, and support services Performing unit clerical duties, including order transcription and documentation support Maintaining unit supplies and ensuring equipment readiness Assisting with scheduling for surgery patients and caregivers Supporting a safe and efficient environment by following infection prevention and safety standards Contributing to the overall patient experience through exceptional customer service and teamwork What We're Looking For Required Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire Previous Unit Secretary, Patient Team Support (Ward Clerk), or related clerical healthcare experience Preferred Previous CNA experience Experience working in a hospital, surgical, or procedural setting Strong computer skills Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational abilities Ideal Candidate We're seeking someone who: Thrives in a fast-paced environment Enjoys balancing patient care and administrative responsibilities Has strong attention to detail Communicates effectively with patients, families, and caregivers Takes initiative and works well independently and as part of a team Can manage multiple priorities while remaining organized and calm About the Operating Room at RiverBend The Operating Room at Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend is a high-acuity, team-oriented environment where every role contributes directly to patient safety and surgical excellence.
