Purpose:

As a Professional Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team. Using clinical expertise, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice, you will coordinate and provide care for patients and their families while fostering meaningful partnerships with physicians, providers, and support staff. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on patient outcomes by addressing the whole person, including their physical, social, emotional, and educational needs throughout the continuum of care.

Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care that promotes quality outcomes, patient safety, and satisfaction. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and develop individualized plans of care. Assess, triage, and manage patient needs while utilizing sound clinical judgment and critical thinking skills. Assist providers with patient assessments, treatment plans, procedures, education, and follow-up care. Identify and address clinical, social, psychological, safety, and spiritual factors that may impact patient health and well-being. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and self-care needs through in-person, telephone, and written communication. Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation that supports continuity of care and effective communication among providers. Serve as a patient advocate by helping individuals navigate healthcare needs, barriers to care, and available resources. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and utilize evidence-based practice to enhance patient care, safety, and outcomes. Support the onboarding, development, and mentorship of students, new staff, and colleagues while fostering a culture of learning and professional growth. Actively engage in shared governance, process improvement initiatives, and departmental goals aimed at advancing professional nursing practice. Build and maintain positive working relationships with patients, families, providers, and team members to create a compassionate and respectful care environment. Demonstrate accountability for professional development, lifelong learning, and maintaining clinical excellence. Promote a culture of safety by identifying risks, communicating concerns, and supporting a healthy and productive workplace.
