Overview We are seeking a dynamic and organized Admissions Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective patients, guiding them through the admissions process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Responsibilities Supervise and review the collection of admission documents, ensure completion and forward to the appropriate departments as necessary Supervise or perform interviews of residents/guardians and obtain required information and signatures Assist in the orientation program for residents/personnel Maintain an accurate record of available beds Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility Maintain a resident waiting list in accordance with established policies and procedures Keep current on Medicare/Medicaid provider regulations for skilled nursing facilities Maintain daily and monthly census report as directed Experience Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes Knowledge of health regulation policies related to patient privacy, confidentiality, and medical documentation standards Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse populations Experience supporting medical administrative functions such as appointment scheduling, billing support, or insurance verification is advantageous Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy Join us as an Admissions Coordinator and play a crucial role in delivering exceptional healthcare experiences.
