Register and check in patients; verify demographic and insurance information. Collect copayments and outstanding balances. Schedule follow-up appointments and provide visit summaries or referrals as needed Scheduling & Communication Schedule new and follow-up appointments, including diagnostic testing according to clinical protocol. Confirm, reschedule, and communicate changes or delays promptly. Manage high-volume incoming calls using proper telephone etiquette. Record accurate messages and route inquiries to appropriate team members. Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and staff. Insurance & Billing Support Review and update patient demographics and insurance information. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments. Obtain and document pre-authorizations and referrals as required. Communicate coverage issues or policy changes to patients before visits. Assist patients with insurance inquiries and time of service payment expectations. Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements, including managed care and government programs. Administrative Support Prepare daily clinic schedules and complete chart prep for upcoming appointments. Support office operations, including faxing, scanning and indexing documents into the patient's medical record. Customer Service & Compliance Provide compassionate assistance and resolve patient concerns promptly. Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED): or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Industry:
Healthcare Experience:
2-3 years recent experience in a related position in medical office setting preferred Strong computer knowledge (Microsoft office) preferred Experience in coding, office billing, insurance and government payer regulations, and other third-party billing requirements (pertaining to services offered by the practice) preferred

Pay Range (Base Pay) : $20.10 - $32.12 per hour. Starting Pay Range (Base Pay) : $21.00 - $31.00 per hour. Regular full-time is classified as team members who are consistently scheduled and work 30 hours or more on a weekly basis. Regular full-time team members are eligible for the following:

NOTE:
A team member who is at least 21 years old and is an active full-time or part-time employee is eligible to participate in our 401(k) Plan at the time of hire and contributions will begin as soon as administratively possible. Paid Time Off :
All regular full-time team members are eligible for PTO that may be used for time away from work. Team members hired before the 15th of the month accrue PTO the first month of employment; however, team members hired on or after the 16th of the month begin accruing PTO the month following date of hire.
PTO Accrual:
Years of Service PTO Less than four years of service 12 hours accrued per month (up to 18 days/yr.) Four years but less than eight years of service 15.33 hours accrued per month (up to 23 days/yr) Eight years of service and up 18.66 hours accrued per month (up to 28 days/yr)
