A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. As a dedicated team, we support both new and experienced respiratory therapists by providing comprehensive training. This full-time, Monday-Friday position is based in our San Diego, CA office, with periodic home visits to ensure our patients receive the highest level of care. Your Responsibilities As a Respiratory Therapist at Kadence Healthcare, you will play a key role in providing patients with life-changing respiratory care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Configuring and setting up ventilators, HFCWO, and CPAP devices and other respiratory equipment. Delivering and setting up respiratory equipment both in-office and at patients' residences and hospitals. Educating patients and caregivers on the proper usage of respiratory devices, ensuring comfort and confidence in their care. Assist with inventory management Testing respiratory equipment to ensure functionality standards. What You Bring We are looking for a compassionate and skilled professional with a passion for patient care. To be successful in this role, you should have: Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with patients and healthcare professionals. A professional and polished and neat appearance, personable, business casual attire Clear written and verbal communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with the team. The ability to operate a work cell phone and software applications for patient data capture. Strong organizational and time management skills.
