Job Description

Deliver Expert Care
  • Administer oxygen therapy, medications, and bronchial hygiene treatments to help patients breathe easier and recover faster. Be a Critical Lifeline
  • Provide airway maintenance, including endotracheal intubation, and expertly manage mechanical ventilation (both invasive and non-invasive). Assess & Act
  • Evaluate each patient's condition and tailor care plans to address urgent and evolving respiratory needs. Educate & Empower
  • Teach patients how to manage chronic lung conditions, giving them the tools to improve their quality of life. Work at the Frontline of Emergencies
  • Serve on Rapid Response, Code Blue, and Trauma Teams, bringing calm expertise to high-pressure situations. Support Specialized Procedures
  • Acquire and analyze arterial blood gases, assist with bronchoscopies, and ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained to the highest standard.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (or equivalent).
Experience:
Relevant experience in the field is preferred.
Licensure:
Licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians as a Respiratory Care Practitioner OR must obtain license within 90 days of hire. Current BLS certification required.

Strong clinical judgment, ability to operate respiratory equipment safely and effectively, and comfort working across diverse patient populations. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.
