This vital role involves providing immediate, expert clinical intervention for hospitalized patients experiencing acute deterioration or emergencies. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing patient safety, stabilizing critical conditions, and supporting the overall quality of care within a fast-paced hospital environment. This position offers an opportunity to work alongside multidisciplinary teams and utilize advanced clinical skills to make a meaningful difference in patient outcomes. Duties Respond promptly to rapid response calls across various hospital units, including ICU, emergency, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Assess patient condition rapidly through comprehensive evaluation of vital signs, medical history, and current clinical status. Initiate and manage airway management procedures, including ventilator support and respiratory therapy interventions. Administer medications as prescribed, monitor responses, and adjust treatments accordingly. Operate and troubleshoot critical medical equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and other life-support devices. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement urgent care plans. Perform advanced patient assessments focusing on physiology, anatomy, and vital signs to identify emergent issues swiftly. Lead cardiac arrest emergency responses by executing ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) protocols efficiently. Document all interventions accurately within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while maintaining compliance with hospital policies. Provide education and support to bedside staff on critical care procedures and equipment operation. Maintain readiness for Level I and Level II trauma center standards by adhering to trauma protocols and safety guidelines. Experience Proven experience in hospital medicine with a focus on emergency medicine or critical care settings. Extensive background in ICU or acute care environments; experience with neonatal resuscitation procedures highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency in airway management techniques, ventilator management, and respiratory device operation. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology relevant to emergency response. Prior involvement in pediatric, neonatal, or geriatrics patient care is advantageous. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient care activities. Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers enhances candidacy. Ability to perform under pressure during high-stakes situations such as cardiac arrests or trauma incidents. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS are preferred. Excellent communication skills combined with technical proficiency in medical equipment operation.
