What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

PM Experience:
24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months. Experience with Sunrise is preferred.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a license (required for submission). This role may require floating to additional units and locations Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted. No current placement allowed at

- HCA•Capital Division.

Additional Details:
Unit Details:
- Hospital-wide respiratory coverage including ICU, ER, Med-Surg, NICU, and other areas.
- Adult and neonatal patient population.
- Procedures include nebulizers, vents, CPAP/BIPAP, and chest PT.
- Uses Draeger vents, Hamilton vents, V60s, and high flow equipment.
10 days maximum time off 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months Driver's license required
Certifications:
RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification
CRT ACLS
(Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program
- 8th Edition) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) BLS (Basic Life Support)
