Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Advance your career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a dynamic healthcare setting committed to excellent patient care. In this contract role, you will play a vital role in assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders under the supervision of physicians and in collaboration with the clinical team.
Schedule:
Evenings, 32 hours per week 3:00pm-11:30pm Every other weekend and holiday required
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid license as a Respiratory Therapist Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills Previous experience in acute or critical care settings strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including mechanical ventilation, airway management, and oxygen therapy Assess patient status and modify respiratory care plans based on physician orders and patient response Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients with respiratory conditions Document all care provided and changes in patient status in the medical record accurately and promptly Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment use Respond to emergency codes and provide rapid respiratory interventions as needed
