A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description
Qualifications:
Active and current Respiratory Therapist licensure and credentials Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required Previous clinical experience in acute or chronic care preferred Proficiency in administering and assessing respiratory therapy treatments and protocols Skilled in ventilator management, oxygen therapy, airway management, and diagnostic procedures Excellent patient interaction and communication abilities Ability to adapt quickly and function effectively in fast-paced healthcare settingsResponsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments and develop individualized care plans Administer and monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions such as nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy, and airway clearance techniques Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes Document patient status, treatment interventions, and progress updates with attention to detail and accuracy Educate patients and families on respiratory health management and home-care instructions Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards This is a contract position designed for professionals eager to expand their experience and make a meaningful difference in patient care.
