StaffDNA is seeking a Travel Allied Respiratory Therapist to provide specialized care in NICU settings across the country. In this contract role, you'll deliver advanced respiratory support to premature and critically ill newborns, managing ventilators, CPAP/HFNC, and emergency interventions in level III/IV NICUs. Use StaffDNA's mobile-first platform to select assignments, track compliance, and manage schedules. Collaborate closely with neonatologists and nursing teams, ensure meticulous documentation, follow strict infection-control standards, and adapt quickly to new hospitals and clinical protocols while upholding exceptional patient and family-centered care. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive respiratory care to premature and critically ill neonates in NICU settings Manage invasive and noninvasive ventilatory support, including high-frequency ventilation and CPAP/HFNCPerform and interpret respiratory assessments, blood gases, and related diagnostics Respond to neonatal respiratory emergencies and assist with high-risk deliveries as needed Collaborate with neonatologists, NICU nurses, and interdisciplinary teams on individualized care plans Document all care accurately in the electronic medical record and follow hospital protocols Maintain strict infection-control and safety standards in all NICU environments Adapt quickly to new hospital settings, workflows, and equipment across travel assignments Use Staff DNA's digital platform to select assignments, manage credentials, and track schedules Educate and support families regarding respiratory treatments and equipment when appropriate Required Skills Neonatal ventilator management High-frequency ventilation NICU respiratory assessment Blood gas interpretation Airway management NICU emergency response Electronic medical records (EMR) Noninvasive respiratory support (CPAP/HFNC) Infection control in NICUCare collaboration with neonatology team
