Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

Valid Speech Language Pathologist certificate from ALSDE Successful completion of an ALSDE background check before start date Previous experience working with Pre K12 students is highly valued Solid understanding of school-based IEP procedures and best practices Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt evaluation and therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of approximately 40 students, providing direct and consultative speech-language therapy services Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication challenges Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals Collaborate with special education staff, classroom teachers, and families Participate in IEP meetings and support teams through documentation and progress reporting Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes student growth and participation Experience the fulfillment of helping young people gain communication skills that will serve them for a lifetime.
