9652249-35126 Job Description Make a vital impact in the lives of young learners by providing essential speech-language services during a 12-week maternity leave coverage. This contract, full-time assignment offers the chance to work with students in PreK through 4th grade, serving a diverse and vibrant group of approximately 50 children. The role will be based onsite, delivering hands-on support, assessments, and interventions crucial to student success. In this position, your expertise will help foster communication skills and academic progress within a supportive elementary school environment. You will collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure each child receives exceptional care and customized plans.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) State License SLP Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Educator Certification required Previous experience in a school setting, preferably with PreK-4th grade Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Commitment to upholding ethical, professional standards as an
SLP Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough speech and language assessments for students referred or identified with needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide direct therapeutic services to students in small groups or one-on-one Maintain proactive and ongoing communication with parents, teachers, and staff Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed Support students in achieving IEP goals aimed at enhancing functional communication and academic outcomes This is a meaningful opportunity to make a difference while advancing your professional experience in a school-based setting.
