Your Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid Alabama ASHA certification required Alabama Educator SLP Certification, or the ability to obtain (can begin with pending status) Recent school-based experience, particularly with evaluation and therapy (highly preferred) Enthusiasm for collaborating with educators, families, and related service teams Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered interventions
What Youll Do:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations as needed Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and contribute to meetings Document progress, maintain accurate records, and assist with compliance activities Offer guidance and support to teachers and parents regarding communication strategies Meet state and district guidelines for special education services
