Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) providing services in an educational setting near Trussville, AL. This role offers variety and flexibility, with opportunities to work directly with children and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Both seasoned SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply. Candidates with school, healthcare, or teletherapy experience will thrive in this dynamic environment.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required Active or eligible for SLP licensure in the state ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or pursuing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Background working with pediatric populations, preferably in school settings Skilled in teletherapy platforms and technology Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments and screenings for students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) Deliver therapy services in-person or virtually, addressing articulation, language, fluency, and social communication skills Monitor and document student progress, providing regular communication to parents, teachers, and school staff Collaborate with educators, special education teams, and families to support student achievement and participation Stay current on best practices and compliance standards This contract position offers a pathway to build your clinical expertise in a supportive educational environment, engaging with a diverse student population.
