Key Qualifications:

Valid Professional Educator Certification is essential. Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from an accredited institution required. Experience serving pediatric and adolescent populations, with comprehensive knowledge surrounding their cognitive and physical development. Familiarity with laws, regulations, and procedures pertaining to special education and individuals with disabilities. Strong analytical ability to interpret and apply relevant educational laws, policies, and assessment data. Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) to support communication and data management. Highly effective written and verbal communication skills. ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and consultative speech-language pathology services for students based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Conduct assessments using appropriate diagnostic tools and interpret results to inform educational strategies. Maintain accurate records in compliance with all legal and procedural standards. Collaborate with educational professionals, families, and other service providers to ensure coordinated care and optimal learning outcomes. Stay current with state, federal, and local requirements related to speech-language services in school settings.
