9688080-93543 Job Description Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting their communication development in this contracted speech-language pathologist role. Work directly with a caseload of approximately 55 students across two elementary school sites, focusing on a diverse range of needsfrom speech-only services and mild-to-moderate support to students with Extensive Learning Needs. Your expertise in school-based speech therapy will empower students to communicate effectively and succeed in their academic environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders Active, valid SLP licensure in California ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; clinical fellows considered Previous experience in an elementary school setting strongly desired Ability to effectively manage a caseload serving students with a broad spectrum of speech and language disorders, including those with extensive learning needs Strong organizational and communication skills
Core Responsibilities:
Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for students in speech-only and mild-to-moderate categories, as well as those requiring extensive communication support Develop and implement IEPs and goals customized to each student's needs Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth and generalize skills across settings Maintain accurate records, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings as required Travel between two nearby elementary school sites as part of your weekly schedule
