A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Provides, directs and supervises all aspects of quality patient care, including, but not limited to; screening , evaluation and treatment, treatment planning, goal setting, family education and documentation, in order to assure the best outcome possible for the patient. The Speech Therapist (ST) assures that the patient care follows the organization's guidelines; professional standards and community needs, and is in compliance with Federal and State guidelines. The ST serves as a patient and rehabilitation advocate for current prospective patients, to all internal and external customers . Ensures cross-disciplinary coordination in order to provide for consistent patient care . Participates in quality assurance and customer service activities.Requirements:
Master of Science in Speech/Language Pathology. Licensure or Certification as required by State guidelines. CPR Certification. 1 year Speech/Language Pathology experience preferred. 1-2 years' experience in a residential/assisted living or skilled nursing facility preferred. Students in their CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) will be considered. Excellent Comp and benefits for full-time associates, as well as perks and discounts for all.Pay:
