What they do
A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Requirements / Qualifications Copy of Transcript (College Transcripts) Credential Copy (Speech Language Pathology Credential or Clinical Rehabilitative Service in Language, Speech & Hearing OR holds a Master Degree in Communication Disorders, passed CBEST and holds a valid licence from the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board) Letter of Introduction (Cover letter) Letter(s) of Reference (Three (3) professional employer references) Resume (Current Resume) Comments and Other Information $1,000 Master's Degree stipend, $2,000 Doctorate stipend, and health benefits available. Full-time benefit allotment of $1,500/month for medical, vision, and dental. CalSTRS retirement. Job provides flexibility, creativity, and innovation. Connecting Waters is a TK-12 grade independent public charter school that services the following counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, San Joaquin, Stanislaus Calaveras, Mariposa, Merced, and Tuolumne.
