Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by providing speech and language support to elementary students in a vibrant school environment close to Hockessin, Delaware. This full-time, onsite contract position is an excellent opportunity to collaborate within a passionate educational community and help young learners achieve their communication goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current, active Delaware SLP license (must be attached with application) Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP (SLP-CCC) Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy to students at the elementary level Develop, implement, and adjust Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other specialists to support student progress Conduct assessments, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines Offer guidance and resources to teachers and families to maximize student outcomes This contract assignment offers a consistent weekday schedule, working 35 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch daily. The position runs through June 8, 2027, providing continuity and the chance to build strong relationships with students and staff.
