A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description
The Savoy at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a full-time Speech and Language Therapist to provide evaluation and treatment for adults in a skilled nursing and rehab setting. Responsibilities include assessing speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders; developing and implementing individualized treatment plans; documenting progress; and collaborating closely with nursing, rehab, and medical teams. The role supports resident-centered, compassionate care, patient and family education, and contributes to quality outcomes in a modern, well-equipped clinical environment. Responsibilities Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. Provide one-on-one and group therapy to support communication and safe swallowing. Document assessments, treatment, and progress in the EMR in a timely, accurate manner. Collaborate with nursing, rehab, and medical teams on resident care plans and goals. Educate residents and families on communication strategies and swallowing safety. Participate in care conferences and contribute to discharge planning. Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust interventions to optimize function and quality of life.
