A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description
Blazer Jobs is actively hiring a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, school-based contract position in Sarasota, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and social success while enjoying competitive weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package. The Speech Language Pathologist will work collaboratively with students, educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders within a school setting. Key Responsibilities Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations for students Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in group settings Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions Ensure services comply with state and federal special education regulations Utilize evidence-based practices to support student outcomes Requirements Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active Florida Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility to obtain) Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) certification or eligibility Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred School-based or pediatric experience preferred (not required) Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by the state and school district Benefits Competitive weekly pay Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) options Professional support throughout the contract Dedicated recruiter assistance Why Blazer Jobs?
