Seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for its Outpatient Rehabilitation Services team. The SLP will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing-related needs and provide quality patient-centered rehabilitation services. Pediatric and adult outpatient experience is preferred. Therapists may also be required to provide coverage in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation (IPR) , including weekends and holidays. Weekend coverage is approximately one weekend every fourth week .
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide direct speech-language therapy services. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Provide patient and family education. Follow facility policies, safety standards, and infection-control procedures. Provide coverage in acute care and/or IPR when scheduled. Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as required.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or an appropriate related program . Active Kentucky Speech-Language Pathologist license or appropriate Kentucky authorization to practice. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred/required as applicable to licensure. Minimum 1 year of travel SLP experience . Outpatient rehabilitation experience. Pediatric and adult experience preferred. Acute-care and/or IPR experience preferred. Strong clinical documentation and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Must be willing to work the assigned schedule, including weekends and holidays when required.
Compliance Requirements:
Active, unencumbered Kentucky SLP license or applicable Kentucky authorization to practice.
ASHA CCC-SLP
certification , if applicable/required. Clinical experience and travel experience . Current BLS/CPR certification Background check and facility-required credentialing. Drug screening, if required by the facility. Any additional health, immunization, occupational-health, or onboarding documentation required by facility. Candidate must provide complete travel assignment history and explain any assignments that were not completed.
Schedule & Contract Details:
13-week contract 40 hours/week Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Approximately 1 weekend every 4 weeks for acute-care/IPR coverage Holiday coverage may be required No mileage requirement ASAP start #HC1
