Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - SLP Job Type Travel Provide expert speech-language pathology services in a dynamic 340-bed hospital setting, delivering quality care to patients across acute and inpatient rehabilitation units. This 13-week travel assignment offers a full-time schedule, fostering professional growth and hands-on experience in a fast-paced medical environment.
Location:
Situated in the serene town of Virgie, KY, near Pikeville, this role places you in the heart of Eastern Kentucky's Appalachian region. The area boasts beautiful natural landscapes and a close-knit community, offering a peaceful yet engaging lifestyle outside of work.
Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language pathology evaluation and treatment consistent with acute care and inpatient rehabilitation protocols Float between acute care and rehab units as needed for patient coverage Maintain thorough and timely documentation using Epic charting system Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Adhere to hospital policies, including
COVID-19
vaccination protocols or weekly PCR testing if applicable
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Kentucky state license and BLS certification required Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience in healthcare settings, preferably acute care and inpatient rehab Proficient in Epic electronic medical record system Ability to manage change effectively, demonstrate resilience, and thrive in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance, wearing navy blue scrubs as required
Schedule:
8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Every 4th weekend coverage and holidays as needed No on-call or call-back duties This position is ideal for a dedicated and adaptable speech-language pathologist who enjoys working in diverse clinical areas within a supportive hospital environment.
