Responsibilities:
Evaluate all patients referred by their physicians with a written order, developing a treatment program including functional long-term and short-term goals Provide treatment as ordered by the attending physician, interpreting, planning, and exercising proper treatment programs Contact physicians for patient reports and care as needed, observing, recording, and reporting patient reactions to therapy programs Instruct, teach, and supervise patients and family/caregivers regarding Speech therapy procedures Adhere to all applicable federal, state, local, facility, and company standards of care and ethics Meet productivity and utilization expectations Complete timely clinical documentation
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current Louisiana licensure Current CPR certification or training Current CPI certification or training
Work Environment:
This job operates in a healthcare setting, requiring regular walking to various locations around the hospital Incumbent may be exposed to viruses, diseases, and infections from patients and specimens Incumbent may be required to work extended periods at a desktop/laptop computer Incumbent may experience traumatic situations, including psychiatric and deceased patients
Physical Requirements:
