A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students develop the communication skills they need to succeed academically and socially. Responsibilities Conduct speech, language, voice, and fluency evaluations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs. Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services. Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals. Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Support students in achieving communication goals within educational settings. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Current Louisiana Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are encouraged to apply. Louisiana Department of Education certification or eligibility, as required.
