This contract position offers an opportunity for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to work 25-30 hours weekly with a friendly and collaborative team, focusing on a caseload of students from 5th to 8th grade.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Holds a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required State licensure in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain Experience in a school-based setting, especially with middle school students, strongly preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to foster a supportive and engaging environment for students

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and develop individual therapy plans for students with speech, language, and communication needs Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services, utilizing evidence-based practices Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings Educate and guide staff and families regarding strategies for supporting communication development Adapt activities and materials to meet the diverse needs of 5th through 8th-grade students This flexible, part-time contract opportunity located near Kenner, LA enables you to make a meaningful impact while balancing your professional and personal commitments.
