Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Provide vital support to K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a school setting located in Bowie, MD. This contract role offers the opportunity to work directly with children, addressing diverse speech, language, and communication challenges to enhance their academic achievement and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and evaluations. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to each student's needs. Deliver direct therapy sessions and provide consultative support. Collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary IEP teams to ensure coordinated care.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist professional license. Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) certification or eligibility to obtain it. Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred but not mandatory. Strong interpersonal skills for teamwork and family interaction.
