Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract School Speech-Language Pathologist - Coastal Student Services Opportunity (2026/2027 School Year) An established school district in the Portland, ME area is hiring a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 academic year. Responsibilities:
Assess and identify speech, language, and communication challenges impacting academic performance Create therapy plans and IEP goals tailored to individual student needs Provide direct and indirect speech therapy services within the school setting Support students with articulation, expressive/receptive language, fluency, and social communication skills Consult with teachers and families regarding classroom strategies and student progress Maintain therapy documentation and ensure compliance with district and state regulations Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to student-centered planningExperience:
Prior experience in schools or pediatric settings preferred Comfortable managing a diverse student caseload CFY candidates encouraged to applyEducation:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Active Maine Speech Language Pathologist License requiredEmployment Type:
