Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract-based role supporting the communication needs of young learners in a dynamic educational environment. This position focuses on serving PreK and Kindergarten students, providing speech-language pathology expertise to help them achieve their developmental milestones.

Key Qualifications:

Current, valid Michigan SLP license (please provide a screenshot during the application process) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Previous experience in school-based settings, ideally with early childhood or elementary populations Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams Flexibility to work a schedule with more onsite days; no full-remote options available at present

Responsibilities:

Deliver speech and language therapy to PreK and Kindergarten students, crafting individualized treatment plans Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain detailed documentation of student progress Consult regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to coordinate support strategies Contribute creatively to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and meetings Stay informed about the latest best practices and compliance requirements in school-based SLP services Remain adaptable with assignment details as placements will be determined prior to the semester start This contract runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with flexibility for full-time, part-time, or hybrid arrangements (hybrid includes more onsite days as fully remote work is not available).
