Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal long-term substitute opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist, providing critical support to K-12 students near Minneapolis, MN. This full-time, school-based contract role covers two distinct assignment windows: May 25-June 4, 2026, and September-December 1, 2026. You'll work on site supporting approximately 25 students with speech-only needs and managing a total service load of about 45. As a key contributor to student success, you'll deliver speech-language therapy, perform evaluations, and participate in IEP meetings with a strong focus on compliance, documentation, and effective scheduling. Expect to quickly assume responsibility for existing caseloads while maintaining a high standard of care in collaboration with educational teams.
Key Qualifications:
Active Speech Language Pathologist licensure in Minnesota CCC-SLP certification preferred; requirements may vary by district Demonstrated school-based experience in speech therapy settings Comprehensive knowledge of IEP management, compliance, and therapy documentation Skilled in efficiently handling direct therapy sessions and conducting evaluations Strong ability to adapt to existing caseloads with minimal orientation
Preferred Attributes:
Previous work with elementary and/or secondary school populations Understanding of Minnesota educational compliance standards Effective communication and collaboration abilities within a multidisciplinary environment
