Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a significant impact in the lives of students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving a caseload of approximately 60 students for the full academic year. This full-time, onsite contract role offers the opportunity to utilize your clinical skills in a supportive educational environment located near Saint Paul, MN. In this rewarding position, you will deliver direct therapy, comprehensive assessments, and collaborate closely with educators and families to help students achieve their communication and learning goals. Ideal candidates bring experience in schools, pediatrics, and healthcare settings, with expertise delivering interventions to a diverse student population. Candidates with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status are encouraged to apply. This placement offers the chance to develop your skills, build meaningful student relationships, and be a pivotal part of a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active Minnesota SLP license (or eligibility to obtain). CCCs or strong CFY candidates considered. Previous experience within school, pediatric, or healthcare settings. Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and effective parent/teacher communication. SLPA experience is valued. Comfort with caseload management and providing a variety of therapy modalities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct, individualized speech and language therapy to an assigned caseload of 60 students. Complete assessments, evaluations, and progress documentation in accordance with school and legal requirements. Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support each student's educational plan. Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs aligned with student needs. Participate in school meetings, team conferences, and ongoing professional development.
