Qualifications and Experience Needed:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license for the state
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Prior experience in a school setting is highly preferred
- Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with students, educators, and families
- Commitment to supporting a diverse range of student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and interpret results to inform intervention strategies
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Track progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support each student's communication development
- Support classroom integration of speech strategies and provide resources as needed
