Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across multiple elementary schools with comprehensive speech-language pathology services. This position offers a dynamic mix of classroom-based and itinerant responsibilities within a collaborative educational environment. Youll work closely with educators, families, and potential support staff to deliver high-quality interventions that make a meaningful difference for K-8 students.
Key Qualifications:
Current or eligibility for North Carolina SLP licensure Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, although candidates in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) will be considered Experience with pediatric populations in school or healthcare settings Familiarity with teletherapy solutions a plus Comfortable supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) as needed Ability to work independently and contribute positively to a team Up-to-date transcripts required before interviewing
Responsibilities:
Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to a diverse caseload across several elementary, Pre-K, and specialized classrooms Document and track student progress, prepare IEPs, and participate in team meetings (administrative time is provided and paid) Collaborate with teachers, parents, and additional support staff to optimize student outcomes Deliver therapy in both dedicated spaces and classroom settings Offer supervision for SLPAs if assigned, and participate in training as offered by the district Flexibly manage a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, with paid travel for itinerant assignments Perks of the
