A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

This opportunity is perfect for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) professional eager to make a meaningful difference within a supportive school district. Both full and part time schedules are available, all within a convenient four-day school week. Qualifications:

Current NM state (NMRLD) SLP license required NMPED license must be active or in pending status by the start date CCC or CFY accepted Pediatric or school-based SLP experience is beneficial Passion for working with school-aged children Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech, language, and communication interventions to students Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with district and state regulations Maintain accurate records of services, progress, and assessments Manage a reasonable caseload with ages tailored to your preference, discussed during your interview Participate in RTI and student support initiatives within the school community
