Job Description:

Nassau Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in a part-time role. This position involves diagnosing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders to improve the communication skills and quality of life of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans and implement therapeutic strategies. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Provide therapy and interventions to improve communication skills and swallowing abilities. Educate patients and their families about communication disorders and therapies available.

Candidate Requirements:

Must be a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of New York.

Preferred:

Previous experience in a nursing home setting. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an SLP.
