Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Role Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive speech-language evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapy for K-12 students Use evidence-based strategies to address speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student's IEP goals Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and compliance with state/federal requirements Integrate innovative teletherapy tools and adapt instruction based on student needs
