Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in a student's life by providing in-person speech and language services to a medically fragile middle school student. This contract position is ideal for a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) who values continuity of care and is passionate about helping every individual reach their fullest potential, regardless of health challenges. The family is Spanish-speaking and would greatly benefit from a provider fluent in both languages. However, highly qualified non-bilingual SLP candidates are also encouraged to apply, as interpreter support may be arranged if needed.
Key Qualifications:
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency strongly preferred; non-bilingual SLPs considered Pennsylvania state SLP licensure required Experience working with medically fragile and bed-bound students preferred Ability to collaborate with occupational and physical therapists Compassionate communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Position Details & Responsibilities:
Provide in-person, one-on-one speech and language therapy for a middle school student in a home-based setting (voco/virtual not available) Collaborate closely with OT and PT, each providing approximately 2.5 hours of direct service per week to begin, with potential to increase hours as needs arise Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in coordination with the student's medical and caregiving team Foster meaningful communication between the student, family, educators, and related service providers Commit to ongoing consistency, supporting the student and family through multiple school years Help create an inclusive, trustful environment for the student and their Spanish-speaking family This contract offers the opportunity to establish a flexible schedule while cultivating long-term relationships with a family that deeply values your expertise.
