May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

The Phoenix Center is a 138 bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in the historic Valley Forge area in Phoenixville, PA. Were looking for an excellent Speech Language Pathologist to join our therapy team and the Phoenixville family as a Per Diem employee! New Grads Welcome! Job Description The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing rehabilitative therapy to patients upon referral for communication, cognitive and/or swallowing disorders following all regulatory and clinical practice requirements. This includes recovery, improvement in function and when possible, a return to a prior level of functioning. Clinical documentation will describe objective measures and justification for continued or discontinued services. This position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services. Job Requirements Must be a graduate of an accredited program in Speech-Language Pathology Must be ASHA certified (CCCs) Must have current and active license with the state of Pennsylvania Three years experience holding active CCCs prior to CFY Supervision preferred Benefits The Phoenix Center offers medical, dental, vision, a variety of voluntary benefits as well as competitive pay, an awesome team, and an award winning culture.
