r42049-02920 Job Description School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) A specialized school in Cranston, RI is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time contract position during the 20262027 school year. This onsite opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with 35 hours per week. The SLP will support students in grades PreK5 with autism, complex medical needs, and a variety of communication challenges. Candidates with experience using AAC devices are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs Provide direct speech and language services to students in grades PreK5 Support students with autism, complex medical needs, and communication challenges Utilize AAC devices and other communication supports when appropriate Collaborate with teachers, families, therapists, and school staff Participate in IEP meetings and assist with developing appropriate student goals Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and required school records Follow all school, state, and professional guidelines for speech-language services

Experience:

Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred Experience supporting students with autism or complex medical needs preferred Experience working with AAC devices strongly preferred

Education & Licensure:

Active Rhode Island Speech-Language Pathologist License required Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
