Skilled Nursing Facilities Locations:
Yonkers (Per diem or Part-time) Queens, NY (Per diem + alternating Saturday)Position Type:
1099 Independent Contractor MedSLP Rehab is seeking a dependable and motivated per diem Speech-Language Pathologist to provide services in skilled nursing facilities in the Yonkers and/or Queens areas. Candidates may apply for one location or both. Schedule Requirements Availability every Friday is required (Yonkers location) Availability at least one additional weekday (queens location) Availability for possible every-other-Saturday coverage (queens location) Flexible daytime/evening scheduling (minimum of 4 hours per shift) Responsibilities Conduct speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations Develop and provide skilled treatment based on each resident's individualized plan of care Complete all clinical documentation accurately and within required timeframes Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation staff, physicians, and families Participate in interdisciplinary care planning Make appropriate diet, swallowing-safety, and communication recommendations Maintain compliance with facility, Medicare, Medicaid, and professional standards Qualifications Current New York State Speech-Language Pathology license or appropriate limited permit ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred Clinical Fellowship candidates may be considered Experience in skilled nursing, adult dysphagia, or geriatric care preferred Strong clinical judgment, time-management, and documentation skills Reliable transportation, consistent attendance, and the ability to work independently Compensation $50-60 per hour , based on licensure and experience. As part of our comprehensive dysphagia program, MedSLP Rehab also provides Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) services. This allows clinicians to collaborate closely on instrumental swallowing assessments and advanced dysphagia management.
