Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity to support young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving elementary students, including those in early childhood. In this contract role, you'll provide essential speech and language services to students in grades 1-5, as well as work with 3- to 5-year-olds in a non-EBRO setting. Collaborate closely with educators, caregivers, and other professionals to foster communication development and academic success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Valid Speech-Language Pathology license/or eligibility in Texas Previous experience working with elementary-age students and early childhood populations preferred Strong knowledge of IEP process, assessment tools, and therapy techniques for diverse needs Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for a caseload of approximately 58 students in grades 1-5, as well as preschoolers (ages 3-5) Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in accordance with students' IEP goals Provide direct therapy and consultative services using evidence-based practices Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress Maintain timely and detailed documentation, including evaluations, session notes, and progress reports Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions to advocate for student needs
