Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students across two school settings, working full-time with a caseload of approximately 50 individuals. This position divides time between a middle school and a high school, offering the unique opportunity to support adolescents with diverse communication needs. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in speech-language pathology and proficiency in sign language, ensuring every student receives comprehensive, accessible care.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Active state licensure (or eligibility to obtain) in speech-language pathology ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Strong sign language skills required Experience in school-based SLP settings, particularly with adolescent populations Capacity to manage a caseload of up to 50 students at both middle and high school levels
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services in accordance with students' IEPs and district policies Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create supportive communication environments Maintain thorough and timely documentation on student progress, evaluations, and interventions Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, IEP conferences, and staff development activities Travel between assigned middle and high school locations during the workday This role offers a consistent weekday schedule of 35 hours per week (7-hour days, plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch), allowing you to focus on student success while maintaining work-life balance.
