This opportunity involves working 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a focus on elementary and high school students. Your expertise will contribute to a dynamic school environment near Newport News, VA, where youll make a tangible impact across 1-2 school locations. Your caseload could include a communication support classroom, behavior support classroom, or a setting serving students with multiple disabilities. Collaborate closely with educators and other specialists to foster growth, inclusion, and communication skills for your students.

Key Qualifications:

Hold ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or be entering your Clinical Fellowship (CF) year Demonstrated knowledge of student-centered speech and language therapy in school-based settings Strong interpersonal and documentation skills Adaptable, patient, and skilled in managing various classroom environments

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services for students with diverse communication needs Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Consult with teachers, staff, and families to reinforce language interventions and generalization strategies Support students in communication, behavior, or multiple disabilities classrooms as assigned Maintain accurate documentation and prepare progress reports
