Chatterbox is an SLP-owned, family-centered private practice providing speech and occupational therapy services to children of all ages. We are committed to supporting children and their families by addressing each child's unique strengths and needs through individualized, neuro-affirming, child-led therapy. Our clinicians work with children presenting with a wide range of communication needs, including articulation and phonological disorders, language delays, fluency disorders, autism, social communication challenges, and other developmental differences. We are currently seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide coverage on an as-needed basis at one or more of our three clinic locations. This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys flexibility while making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families. Position Summary Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, the SLPA will provide direct speech-language therapy services by implementing individualized treatment plans designed to help children achieve their communication goals. Responsibilities Implement speech-language treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist. Provide engaging, individualized therapy sessions that support each child's communication goals. Collect objective data and accurately document treatment sessions in accordance with clinic policies, payer requirements, and professional standards. Communicate effectively with supervising SLPs, families, and other team members regarding client progress. Utilize evidence-based, neuro-affirming therapeutic strategies during treatment. Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, COTAs, SLPAs, and other team members to provide coordinated, family-centered care. Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging therapy environment. Adhere to all clinic policies, professional standards, and California state regulations governing SLPA practice. Qualifications Current California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in good standing. Bachelor's degree (required). Minimum of one year of pediatric SLPA experience. Experience working with children with a variety of communication disorders. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with supervising SLPs and the interdisciplinary team.
