Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic elementary school environment. This full-time opportunity offers a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, with daily hours from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM. Youll be based at one building, making it easy to truly connect with students and colleagues. The assignment starts as soon as possible and runs through June 11, 2027providing stability and the chance to make a lasting impact.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license in Connecticut Previous school-based SLPA experience is required Ability to secure district-required fingerprinting and background clearance Upfront licensure documentation will streamline consideration Comfortable participating in a virtual (Zoom) interview Credentialed applicants will be prioritized for interview selection
Primary Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of speech and language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP Conduct individual and group student sessions as directed Document student progress and maintain accurate records Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster student achievement Adapt to a diverse, inclusive school environment by demonstrating flexibility and enthusiasm This assignment allows you to develop professional experience in a supportive elementary school setting, build relationships in one consistent location, and make a difference in childrens lives every day.
