What Were Looking For:

Active Texas SLPA license, ready to present and verified Previous experience working within school settings as an SLPA Prior experience in school-based therapy preferred Confident, reliable transportation with the ability to travel daily between both campuses Willing and able to complete required HISD fingerprinting process within the first three days of your contract Comfortable purchasing a laptop for work use (with full reimbursement provided) On-site availability only (no remote work)

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver speech-language services to students as directed by supervising SLPs Serve both Furr High School and Edison Middle School, providing consistent, reliable support Maintain high standards of record-keeping and session documentation Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff Adhere strictly to commute expectations, ensuring punctual and dependable attendance at both locations This assignment runs through the end of the current school year, offering stability and the chance to make meaningful connections.
